IHG COMMUNITY SOLIDARITY AMID COVID - 19
As the coronavirus disease 2019, also known as Covid-19, hit almost every country and region, many governments, businesses and individuals around the world are being severely affected. In such difficult times, many positive encourages from our beloved guests and the solidarity of all the community are the things that help our IHG family get through. It’s them that help us prove that the “True Hospitality” spirit will always shine, even during the most challenging time.
Lights Of Love
Many IHG hotels together lit their windowsup, which brought the message of love, hope and positivity to our communities, neighbors, friends & families all around the world in the fight with COVID-19. The trend started from Crowne Plaza Belgrade in Serbia and spread to other IHG’s hotels in an effort of delivering the very best of “True Hospitality”. In the evening of 27th March, 2020, the main building of Crowne Plaza West Hanoi was also lit up in a heart shape as a way to express our love and positivity.
Supporting Those Who Need It Most
Leaving no one behind! Londoners sleeping rough will be given vital protection from coronavirus as the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, with support from the Government, worked with Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) to block-book the rooms in two London hotels for the next 12 weeks to let the rough sleepers move in.
The Little Things
You may notknow that our work motivation just simply comes from the small acts of the guests we served every day. Many colleagues have received notes from guests expressing thanks for what our teams do best – providing great service, showing we care and displaying “True Hospitality” spirit.
Acts Of Kindness
Sometimes we forget how easy it is to spread some good vibes to our guests.Recently, when one member of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra became stranded at InterContinental Malta, unable to get a flight home to Spain, our hotel team showed some quick thinking and partnered with the orchestra to get our guest his instruments so that he felt comforted and could keep busy. One small, thoughtful gesture can make a guest’s day.
Stay safe and healthy & Join us to keep spreading this positivity vibes further, wherever you are. We are all in this together!!!
